The Village of Gagetown Volunteer Fire Department announces today that Chief John Thomas will be stepping down as Fire Chief.
Chief Thomas came to the Village of Gagetown Volunteer Fire Department at a time of great change. He oversaw the implementation of medical response mandate for our Department and, with the help of the dedicated volunteer staff of the Department, implemented many administrative, procedural, and operational standards we have in place today.
In the interim, Deputy Chief Ryan McNally will assume the position of acting Fire Chief until, submission from the department membership as prescribed in the Municipal Fire Service By-Law for, a permanent appointment for the position of Fire Chief can be ratified.
John Thomas will be moving from the Village to pursue other career opportunities later this summer. The Village of Gagetown Volunteer Fire Department and the Village Of Gagetown Municipal Government would like to thank John for his years of service to the community and wish him all the best with his new adventure in life.
