Words from the Mayor:
April 3, 2009
The ferry system is the economic driver for the Village of Gagetown. We
are the gateway to the Lower Saint John River Valley. Our Village is
part of a rural partnership with the local service district of Jemsig
and the Village of Cambridge Narrows. We have been working together to
enhance tourism and economic development of the entire area. It is
wrong to simply decide that a village will become a ghost town. In the
lower valley we are working together as a community to move forward. As
a province we can ensure that this decision is corrected by providing
strong accurate facts to the government. Together we can be successful
and I appreciate all the support from throughout New Brunswick and the
rest of Canada. It is all your kind words and encouragement that
reinforces our resolve and commitment. Thank you.
