The Association is a volunteer-run, non-profit, registered charity, established in 2003 to support the Gagetown Clinic and help maintain and develop health services in the Village of Gagetown and surrounding areas.
Membership is open to anyone 19 years of age or older who is interested in issues of health and wellness within the area.
What our goals are:
¨ assist in developing more health care services in the area as needed by residents and the physician.
¨ continue to review government programs and initiatives to see how these may be used in improving the health and wellness of area residents as well as the prevention of illness.
¨ continue to support the Clinic as well as the Oromocto Public Hospital and Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.
What we have accomplished:
¨ purchased furnishings and equipment for the Gagetown Clinic.
¨ provided CPR courses for area residents.
¨ presented information evenings on a range of health-related issues.
¨ donated funds to the Oromocto Public Hospital and Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital Foundations.
¨ developed and supplied projects encouraging physical activity and good nutrition.
¨ continual promotion of blood donor clinics.
¨ raised funds to purchase a defibrillator and provide training for Queenstown as well as obtained funding for a defibrillator for the Rec Centre in Gagetown.
