Nestled on the hillside at 27 Front Street Gagetown, Jugglers Cove Pottery, Peter Thomas’ Studio and Showroom have a magnificent view of Gagetown Creek, an arm of the St. John River. Here Peter produces raku pottery and sculpture inspired by the landscape and the human condition. Each piece is unique. When you visit, you may have a chance to watch these ceramic gems as they are plucked from the fiery kiln, still glowing red hot, and placed in reduction bin where amidst sawdust, newspaper and other combustibles the pot’s glazes will develop their true character.

Peter also creates highly decorative and functional earthenware using a variety of techniques including majolica. He and his partner Karen Shackleton have produced majolica tiles as well.

When Peter Thomas is not at home in his Jugglers Cove Studio he is a ceramics instructor at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in Fredericton. He has taught, carried out workshops and shown his art across North America and Britain.
